Follow-ups allow Curanotis users to record requests and related information that at the time of submission are not necessarily related to a past or upcoming interaction.  In many cases follow-ups may trigger one or more interactions to be scheduled, but not necessarily.  Although follow-ups can be submitted by any Curanotis user, only users with Administrator or Extended access rights are able to manage their outcomes.

When a follow-up is requested, its status is automatically marked as PENDING.  Users with Administrator or Extended rights are notified that there are PENDING follow-up request in the main Curanotis menu.  When there is one or more PENDING Follow-ups to be dealt with an orange box will appear in the main menu with the number of pending follow-up requests.  See below:

By clicking on the orange box, staff members are taken to the FOLLOW-UP REQUESTS page.  On this page staff members can view Follow-Up Requests filtered by STATUS and sorted by either STATUS or REQUEST DATE/TIME as pictured below:

As the image above reveals, you can also get to the FOLLOW-UP REQUESTS page from the REPORTS menu.  This is useful in situations where you want to reference follow-ups but there are no pending follow-ups, because when there are no pending follow-ups the orange box (the pending follow-up indicator) will not appear in the menu.

Clicking the date of a follow-up will allow staff members to edit the follow-up’s Description, Status, and Outcome Notes.  There are three STATUS options for follow-ups: Pending, Fulfilled, and Rejected.  Changing the STATUS of a follow-up from PENDING to either FULFILLED or REJECTED and saving the follow-up will cause the number of pending follow-ups to be decremented (see below).  Again, if there are no pending follow-ups the follow-up indicator (the orange box) will disappear from the staff person’s menu.

Any Curanotis user, including Volunteers, can submit follow-up requests.  Follow-up requests can be submitted by clicking on the flag icon (see below) to the right of any contact (client or otherwise) listed on the FIND CONTACT page.

As you can see pictured above, if there is already a pending follow-up associated with a contact, the flag icon will be colored orange.  Otherwise the flag icon will be grey.  Clicking on the flag will take the Curanotis user to the ADD FOLLOW-UP REQUEST page where a description of the request can be entered (see below).
